Prayer bracelets have sold out!

By House Sinai

The bracelet sale has been a huge success and we have raised approximately £150 towards building a construction site for our foundation stage outdoor area.

Unfortunately, not all children purchased a bracelet as they sold out. So House Sinai have taken their orders and they will be ready ASAP.

The sale will continue next Friday.

Sinai are selling prayer beads this Friday

By FS2, House Sinai, News

From Friday, House Sinai are selling prayer beads in the school library for £1:50.

The beads remind the children of what they might like to pray for. For example, family, hope or courage.

The children are also selling Lord’s Prayer bracelets. These bracelets are to help children learn the Lord’s Prayer.

All money raised will go towards developing the outdoor area. We will keep you posted on how much money we have raised and what we have bought for the children.

Well done House Sinai!

Make your vote count!

By House Carmel, House Jericho, House Jordan, House Sinai, News

Today in collective worship we have been learning about democracy. On Monday 9th July the electoral roll will be setting up a polling station in our school hall. This is a great opportunity for the children to experience voting and learn about British values.

We will be asking the children to vote on which charity they would like the school to support. Which charity will they vote for? Here are their options:

Cancer Research UK

Bluebell Wood Hospice

Rotherham Food Bank

House leaders will be counting the votes and we will inform you of the result.

Happy St Alban’s Day

By House Carmel, House Jericho, House Jordan, House Sinai, Religious Education, Uncategorized, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 5, Year 6

Today is St Alban’s Day

Our school sets huge value on the quality of courage so let’s take a moment to think about St Alban’s courageous act.

St Alban is venerated as the first recorded Christian martyr in England. His death came as a result of him shielding a priest to whom he had given refuge. It is in the nature of this story that it concerns one who gave his life for his values and beliefs.
Though a legend the story embodies something of the vulnerability that is required if we are to act in courage. Alban quite literally cloaks himself with the garment of the one he seeks to protect and, in doing so, takes his place.

By House Sinai, News, Uncategorized, Year 2, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6

House Sinai did a great job leading assembly yesterday. They introduced the school to more of our children’s special talents.

Presenting, Cole playing the guitar, Leila, who loves ice skating,  Charlotte the hockey master, Ailsa playing the bassoon and Lowri the superb swimmer.

Please remember that if you have a talent or an interest that you would like to share with the school then sign up and post your application in the postbox in the library.
