Anti-Bullying Policy

Today in collective worship, house leaders presented our Anti-Bully Policy to the children. They were TRULY FABULOUS! This policy clearly explains exactly what children need to do if they experience bullying. A copy can be found in classrooms and on our school website.

Remember bullying is… Several Times On Purpose (STOP).

I will attach a copy of the policy in my next post.

Thank you,

State Funeral

By Collective worship, Community, News, Newsletter

Following the announcement from Buckingham Palace of the death of our sovereign, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a period of National Mourning has started and will continue until the end of the State Funeral. This is a period of time for reflection in response to the death of the Sovereign.

The official date of the State Funeral is 19 September 2022. This day will be a bank holiday and St Alban’s will be closed as a mark of respect on this day.

Thank you,

Mrs Gurner

Our School Rules

By Community, Equality, Letters to Parents, Mental Health, News, Newsletter, Policies, PSHE

This week we have been discussing our school rules:

Be responsible
Be respectful
Be ready to learn

With the children, we have been looking at how these rules fit into good habits in every aspect of civil and academic conduct.

In collective worship, we launched a competition for the children to design a poster that advertises our school rules. If your child would like to take part in the competition, all entries need to be returned to school by Friday 17th September.

Thank you,

Mrs Gurner

Holiday Date Change

By News, Newsletter

The School term dates for 2021/22 have been amended following the published amended legislation regarding the additional bank holiday.

The total school year will therefore be 194 days to accommodate the additional Bank Holiday. As the additional bank holiday is during spring bank holiday week, an additional days holiday has been added to the start of the summer holidays. This means we will break up for the Summer holidays in 2022, on Wednesday 21st July not Thursday 22nd July.

Thank you
