We entered two Year 6 teams into this event. The children were well prepared for the event and the competition was strong.
Unfortunately, we lost our final match with Flanderwell scoring 340 and St Alban’s 317. The children had a fantastic time- well done!
Two teams of year 4 children competed in the Rotherham Schools Final held at Wickersley Sports College. The team braved the dazzling sun and came 2nd place overall. Thank you to all the parents that supported the children, especially Mr Spooner who provided refreshments.
Well done to all the children who took part in the Orienteering Festival at WSSC on Tuesday 2nd May. Thirty three children from St Alban’s participated in this annual event.
Mrs Jepson said that the children’s map reading skills were exceptional, running miles to complete their score sheet.
Five teams from year 6 and year 4 have made it through to the finals- well done!
Today the year 4 and 6 children who performed at the Wickersley Dance Finals received certificates for their outstanding performance. Mrs Jepson praised the girls for delivering such a professional routine, demonstrating their talents and creative flair.
Well done to all of the children who competed in the Wickersley Tag Rugby Festival. The Year 5 & 6 team came 2nd and the year 4 team came 1st, qualifying them for the next stage in the competition. Mrs Jepson said that all of the matches were tough but that both of our teams never gave up- Go… St Albans!
A huge congratulations to the Year 3 & 4 girls and Mrs Jepson, who competed in Yorkshire Acrobatic Finals on Sunday 19th March. The competition was to a very high standard and the girls practiced relentlessly, every break and lunch time.
Their hard work paid off and St Alban’s achieved a silver medal! Well done Ruby, Lexi-Mae, Ruma, Abigail, Isabelle, Ava and Mrs Jepson- we are so very proud of you!
