Our girls’ football team represented St Alban’s at Wickersley Sports College this week. They came third in a very tough competition.
Well done girls, we are very proud of you all.
This week our girls’ football team represented St Alban’s at Wickersley Sports College. The team didn’t win this time, but they certainly had a winning team spirit – well done girls!
We would like to say a huge thank you to Mr Marsh for supporting Mrs Jepson.
A huge congratulations to Ruby, Jacob, Bea and Oscar (year 4) who have made it through to South Yorkshire Tennis Finals.
Mrs Jepson said that the team performed to a very high standard.
We are still waiting for the results from Wickersley Rugby Festival. However, Mrs Jepson said that the children had a winning attitude. With superb team spirit, manners and a healthy competitive attitude, they represented St Alban’s in the finest way.
A huge thank you to Mr Woodhouse and Mrs Wagstaff who volunteered to take the children – their support meant that we could take 4 teams.

Annaliese and Charlotte represented our school at the cross country national championship at Prestwold Hall. Both performed well in a very competitive race. Well done girls, we are really proud of you.
Well done to the gymnasts that represented our school at the Yorkshire Schools Gymnastics Competition, held at Barnsley Dome on Saturday 17th March.
St Alban’s entered a pairs and group display. They competed against schools from all over Yorkshire and the standard was excellent throughout. The group display won gold and the pairs achieved silver, all of the girls were sensational.
Last year the team won silver, so it was fantastic to go to this event and receive gold in the group category.
Congratulations to the Year 4 Key Steps Gymnastics team who have now qualified through to the level 3 South Yorkshire Championships on the 20th March at the EIS Sheffield. Their performance in the Rotherham Schools Final was faultless. Well done everyone involved in the competition.
Well done to all the children that took part in the Gymnastic Competition on the 1st February. Two teams have made it into the finals- we are very proud!
Well done to the year 2, 3 and 4 children that took part in the Basketball festival at Wickersley School and Sports College.
