St Alban’s Memorial Garden

By News, Religious Education, Year 6

Today a few year 6 children helped create St Alban’s Church memorial garden. The children planted poppies with the names of the 28 soldiers that died in World War 1.

Next time you walk through the Church yard take a look at the 28 poppies and remember the sacrifices that were made by these men and their families.

There But Not There

By Religious Education

Today we have been given a silhouette by Wickersley Parish Counsel of William Bell who was one of the 28 men who lost their lives during World War 1. His name can be found on Wickersley War Memorial and he is buried in St Albans Churchyard. The silhouette has been placed near our spiritual helpdesk. Take a look when you walk through school.

William Bell died age 31, son of Martha Bell of School Green, Wickersley. He was the son of the late Charles Bell. He had previously served as 43999 York and Lancaster Regiment. He died at home.

Christmas Carol Concert

By Uncategorized

Last year the key stage 2 Christmas carol concert was a huge success and hundreds of parents attended the service.

This year for health and safety reasons we are going to ticket the event as the church can only accommodate 250 people. So that all parents get the chance to watch their children we’ve decided to have two carol services. See the times below:

Tuesday 11th December, 1:45pm and 5:00pm.

Details regarding ticket sales to follow.

Prayer bracelets have sold out!

By House Sinai

The bracelet sale has been a huge success and we have raised approximately £150 towards building a construction site for our foundation stage outdoor area.

Unfortunately, not all children purchased a bracelet as they sold out. So House Sinai have taken their orders and they will be ready ASAP.

The sale will continue next Friday.
