As part of our plants topic, Year 3 have been learning about the different parts of a flower. Flowers are very complex and we had to learn lots of new, scientific vocabulary including: stamen (anther and filament); carpel (stigma, style and ovary) and the sepal. To understand this better, we dissected our own flowers, carefully categorising each of the different parts.
