An “Egg”-citing discovery!

By English, Year 3

On entering school this morning, children in Year 3 were shocked and amazed by what they found in the Y3 classroom. Tables were overturned, books were scattered on the floor and most surprising of all, a mysterious, mythical creature had decided to make its nest in the classroom. Using our inference skills, we deduced that the gigantic, golden egg might belong to a dragon. Newspaper reports to follow- watch this space!

World Book Day – Thursday 4th March

By Community, English, FS1, FS2, News, PSHE, Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6

The Masked Reader

To celebrate World Book Day, we want our children to film themselves reading an extract from their favourite book in disguise. On Monday 8th March, when all of our children return to school- yeah! We will show the recordings in class. Can children guess the person behind the mask? What are they reading? We hope that this activity will be lots of fun for everyone.

Mrs Teale and Mr Frelich (our English Leaders), are delivering collective worship on Monday 1st March. In this assembly, they will tell you all about World Book Day and answer any questions that you may have.

Further details:

-On Thursday 4th March, key worker children can come to school dressed in their disguise and record their masked read with the support of their teaching assistant.

-All masked readings need to be sent to the class teacher through Class Dojo – before Monday 8th March.

-Recordings to be no longer than 30 seconds.

Ava’s Poem

By Corona - Covid19 Virus, English, Year 4

Coronavirus

Coronavirus has now taken over,

We all have to stay apart,

But if we listen to the government

There will be no broken hearts.

We miss you

We love you

But it is hard to tell

We will be together soon

So there is no farewell.

We can sing

We can dance

We can learn to tie our lace

We can play ball, do makeup and funny faces.

After 12 weeks we are all together,

but for how long?

Hopefully forever!
