The school can now confirm that ties will be introduced from September in KS2. The school will be providing your child’s first tie, which is elasticated. We can also confirm that black trousers/skirts/pinafores/ shorts are to be introduced from September rather than navy blue for all pupils across school.
Opinion regarding the introduction of ties was split at KS1, but the majority of parents responding had concerns about it. We have made the decision therefore to not introduce ties at KS1. If in the future parental opinions change, we can look at this again.

Thank you to those of you who have responded to our questionnaire regarding the school uniform, and also to those of you who have emailed or passed on comments in recent weeks. We place huge importance on listening to our parents and your views have really mattered to us.

Well done to all the children who took part in the Orienteering Festival at WSSC on Tuesday 2nd May. Thirty three children from St Alban’s participated in this annual event.
Mrs Jepson said that the children’s map reading skills were exceptional, running miles to complete their score sheet.
Five teams from year 6 and year 4 have made it through to the finals- well done!
We would like to know what you think about the proposed changes to school uniform. We have therefore provided a simple questionnaire for all parents to complete in order to gather a broader contribution. We are conscious that time is moving on and parents need final confirmation soon, and therefore we are asking for all questionnaires to be completed and returned to the school office by Wednesday 10th May 2017.
