Do you like watching the weather forecast? Have you ever watched it in French?
Today, Year 5 were treated to a variety of weather forecasts about different areas of France.
Lewis wrote this one and then presented it to the group.

Meet our new Gratitude Tree
At St Alban’s we often say, ‘Gratitude is an attitude.’ We try to appreciate the small and big things and be grateful for what we have.
Next week, as part of our end of day prayer, we will ask the children to think of three things that they are grateful for and think about these things.
Next to the tree will be a golden leaf. If any child would like to share what they are grateful for, then they can write a note and place it on the leaf. Each week, I’ll check the leaf and read out the things that the children are grateful for in collective worship.
Today I am grateful for the sunshine, listening to the children sing in collective worship and the blossom tree in our infant yard. I feel very blessed to work in such a special school.
I’m also grateful to one of our very talented parents, Joanne Openshaw (Blooms and Posies), who created our blossom tree- thank you.
Mrs Gurner
Do you use the Internet to find out about things you find interesting and spend time browsing various webpages? If you do, do you think about how the web pages are created?
All websites are written in a text language called HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language) and this term Year 5 are learning to use HTML to add text and images to a webpage. Below is some information the children created while beginning their HTML journey.

Today the Y4s acted out a conscience alley to better understand a character within our book and the choice he had to make.
One line of the alley was in favour of the character doing the action whilst the other line was against it. They gave their reasons to the person walking through the middle to try and persuade them.
This term, Y6 have been looking at printing in art. They studied different artists that use printing to produce work and investigated ways to make patterns.
After this, they created their own patterns using pencil crayons or paint. The children then did printing work of their own by using lino printing. They needed to use a small square of lino and carved out a pattern. They used paint to print repeated patterns.
