UKS2 Sports Day

By Sport, Uncategorized, Year 5, Year 6

Today, Y5 and Y6 had their Sports Day. We all participated in running, jumping and throwing activities and finished with a distance race and a relay. Congratulations to everyone for taking part.

First we began with a parade around the field.

After warming up, we all joined in athletics events including sprints, long distance, relays, throwing and jumping.

Thank you to the helpers and Mrs. Jepson who helped it all run so smoothly.

Congratulations to Jericho.

We all had lots of fun!

Sports Day

By Corona - Covid19 Virus, Sport, Sporting Excellence

Last night we received further guidance from the DFE about sports days.

School have considered the guidance and also the fact that we have had a recent bubble closure, and decided to NOT invite parents to sports day.

We are disappointed that parents will not be part of our sports days, but we must prioritise staying open and minimise the risk of infection.

Mrs Cooper is an excellent photographer, and has agreed to take take photos of the children to share on class dojo.

Thank you,

Mrs Gurner

Celebrations again for our year 5 basketball team. They played in Rotherham’s Schools Final held at Maltby School. St Alban’s team were amazing and displayed a skilful performance. Having won their cluster competition and gaining 1st place, last week they achieved 1st place winning all the other finalists in Rotherham.
We are for the second year running the best primary school team in Rotherham!
